This is one of the process books from my Discovery project from before the summer. It was an experiment in chance overlaying & juxtaposing with the imagery I had produced earlier in the project. It's very rough but I like how some of the negative lines from the original relief prints combine to form new patterns and density.
I wanted to find a way to create this contrast of texture and line in silver. I tried with this branch, looking directly at the relief print for inspiration, giving definition and contrast to the leaves and a more angular feel to the branch.
